BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF
More often than not, people will attend churches because they have something to offer them that they need - a sense of community, relationships, ministries that affect them personally, true Biblical preaching, etc. One of the biggest things that we offer to our church members is the opportunity to serve others by becoming part of the Dream Team at First Riverview.
Not only will you become the hands and feet of Jesus and all that He represents, but you will also grow spiritually because of your commitment to serve others. Below you will find a list of opportunities to serve within our church and additional information on what it entails. If you have any questions, please feel free to send us a message.
The Discovery Track is a catalyst to help you become a fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ and make the most of your membership at First Baptist Church of Riverview. This program offers the tools necessary to make this happen. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your final destination in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into a fulfilling leadership role.
Our church office is in need of an individual to volunteer weekly as a receptionist during our staff meeting when our entire staff is attending from 9:30am-12:00pm.
Our Awana Clubs Program is growing year after year and is always in need of individuals who are passionate about helping children learn more about how and why God loves them. If you could get excited about discipling children, this is the PERFECT opportunity for you! Your service will be requested every Wednesday night during school semesters from 6:00pm-8:00pm. It will entail you helping children memorize key scripture and complete their workbook sessions!
We are excited to be offering a new way to serve by becoming a Pew Pastor! We all know that most people sit in about the same area every week and we want to leverage that for our church members and our guests.
Don't let the title of this intimidate you! All that being a Pew Pastor entails is spending 10 minutes prior to the start of our Sunday Service with those who sit around you and taking a few minutes a week to touch base with them via a phone call or text during the week.
SERVING IN THIS CAPACITY WILL TAKE A SMALL INVESTMENT ON YOUR END, BUT WILL ALLOW OUR CHURCH TO FULLY SERVE OUR MEMBERS AND GUESTS IN A BIG WAY!
All in all, we need more observant and intentional eyes looking out for and connecting with new guests and our church members. Other expectations are to answer any questions that guests may have, introducing them to our Pastor at the end of the service (if they are interested) and introducing them to other members that have similar interests when appropriate.
