Women's Ministry

We provide a solid foundation of prayer, Bible study and discipleship. We are always making plans for new programs that will meet the diverse needs of our women. We desire that every woman find life-giving relationships, and opportunities to give and receive the personal ministry, vital to a rich and vibrant life in Christ.

Life can be difficult, so it’s important to surround yourself with other women who will pray with you, walk beside you, and share in the joy and the hardships.  Our goal is to connect with women in every season of life and strive together to build lives and families that put Christ first in everything that we do.

Whether we are meeting for small group Bible study, enjoying a ladies’ only event, or building friendships at a fellowship, we want to show you the love of Christ and encourage you in your relationship with Him. We cannot wait to connect and support you with our Women’s Ministry!

Please contact the Women's Ministry Director, Lisa Weaver, for more information on the Women's Ministry or how to join in on the fun!

Women's Ministry retreat

Women of all ages come together every year to fellowship with one another and worship together at our annual Women's Ministry Retreat.  We escape to a beautiful, serene location to enjoy God's beautiful creation, Bible studies and quiet time with God!  In addition to strengthening your spiritual walk with Christ, you will also have time to sit back and relax in rocking chairs, swim and take nature walks.  If you would like to attend the next retreat or just to learn more, please click the button below.

The 2018 Retreat is September 27-29, 2018.

The Women's Retreat Ministry leaders are Lisa Weaver, Justine Kindya + Amy Hughes.

special events

Daughters of the King is our annual spring luncheon celebrating all of the blessings we receive as His daughters.  All ladies are welcome to come and enjoy the inspirational speaker, lunch, worship and fellowship!

The Grateful Heart Tea is held in the fall and our chance to be a little fancy! Hostesses decorate our ‘tea room’ and serve finger sandwiches, salads and desserts to everyone while we listen to an inspirational speaker and fellowship.

Girl’s Night Out is a night for us gals to just hang out and do whatever as long as it's together! We usually grab a bite to eat - okay... we always grab a bite to eat - and then go shopping, watch a movie, play miniature golf or any other fun, sometimes slightly ridiculous activity!

HOPE Luncheon

HOPE: Helping Others through Prayer & Encouragement
This ministry provides encouragement and support to widows and single mothers by hosting monthly luncheons in their honor.  The luncheons are in an intimate setting where ladies going through similar stages of life, experiencing similar challenges and trials can encourage one another and share Godly wisdom from those who have already walked that path.

The HOPE Luncheon Ministry leaders are Judie Miller + Robin Taylor.

healing root ministry

Healing Root is committed to helping women transition out of sexual slavery. Hillsborough County has more strip clubs per capita than any other county in the United States. It seeks to fight against modern day slavery in Tampa Bay by going into adult entertainment clubs and delivering prayerfully prepared care bags for the ladies that work in the establishment (assembled the second Sunday of every month). Our heart is to see women set free and to show the radically unconditional love of Jesus Christ.

The Healing Root Ministry leader is Haley Mushrush
